Stowe Mountain Resort is a one of the finest ski resorts in the northeastern United States near the town of Stowe in northern Vermont, and comprises two separate mountains: Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak. Stowe is second in size to Killington Ski Resort in Vermont.

Stowe Ski area was created when the Civilian Conservation Corp cut trails on Mount Mansfield to provide access for alpine skiing in 1933. The oldest ski patrol in the United States, the National Ski Patrol was founded in 1934 and was based on Mount Mansfield.

Mount Mansfield Summit Elevation is 4,395 feet, the highest skiing elevation of 3,625 feet, and a vertical drop of 2,360 feet. The resort features 116 trails on Spruce Peak and Mount Mansfield, and provides 39 miles of skiable terrain on 485 acres.

Stowe provides 13 total lifts, with more mile long lifts than any other resort in the East. Lifts include one Inter-Mountain Transfer Gondola, one high-speed summit Gondola, three high-speed Quads, two Triples, four doubles, and two surface lifts. Stowe's newest facilities and improvements include a brand new High-Speed Quad on Mt. Mansfield, RFID technology tickets and gates, and an inter-mountain transfer gondola connecting Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak.

Stowe Mountain Lodge features a 312 room hotel and spa that is consistently been recognized as one of the greenest and most luxurious mountainside lodgings in the world. Nearby at Spruce Peak, is the new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. New high-speed lifts on Spruce, new base facilities, more than ten dining, restaurant, and eating locations create all the ambiance of a world class ski resort. Most of the restaurants have limited and seasonal hours.
