Cabo San Lucas or simply "Cabo" (or Los Cabos) is rated as one of Mexico's top five tourist destinations and consistently attracts tourists seeking high end destinations and luxury accommodations. Sometimes referred to as the "Ft. Lauderdale of Mexico", it attracts thousands to its spa resorts, its beaches for sunbathing and its waters for sport fishing and wide variety of watersport activities.

Exclusive hotels and gated residential communities are found in the "Corridor". Many of the properties have become havens to Hollywood stars, Fortune 500 CEOs and even the US President during the 2002 Asia-Pacific Economic Conference.

While Cabo is best known for luxury travel, Spring Breakers have been increasingly choosing its beaches, bars and nightclubs as an alternative to Cancún and Cozumel.

Golfing and sunbathing are the most common activities for vacationers to Cabo. Cabo has an excellent nightlife scene, with several clubs and bars in the downtown area. If you learn one Spanish word while out at night in Cabo, let it be tequila.

Cabo has lots of beaches to choose from, from secluded coves to crowded, mile-long strips of shore. The area also has several opportunities for watersports, such as snorkeling, diving, and jet skiing. But many also praise the area's whale watching opportunities.

In the winter, pods of whales can be observed in the area. They bear their calves in the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez after completing their six-thousand-mile migration from Alaska and Siberia. along with its extreme desert landscape and rich ocean vistas.

Cabo is one of the most prized golf destinations in all of Mexico, with a string of courses located all along the Hotel Corridor. Course fees are expensive—sometimes as much as $200 a round—but the consistently warm weather and excellent greens offer an unparalleled playing experience.
