Budapest is one of Europe's most delightful and enjoyable cities. Its scenic setting and its architecture has earned it the nickname "Paris of the East." Budapest was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List for its cultural and architectural significance of the Banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter and Andrássy Avenue.

Budapest has a unique, youthful atmosphere, world-class classical music scene as well as a pulsating nightlife which increasingly draws youth from central Europe and numerous other places.

There is much to do in the city and you can walk to many of its attractions. This includes taking a walking tour to discover historic Castle Hill or a walk across Chain Bridge, the first bridge to connect Buda and Pest. You can take a stroll on Andrassey Avenue to Hero's Square and you'll understand why Budapest is often called the Paris of the East. Grab a coffee and window shop and people watch on Vaci utca. Don't eat there, but try an authentic Hungarian dish paired with vintage Hungarian wine at one of the numerous award winning Budapest restaurants. Central Market Hall is a great place to find traditional Hungarian food.

No visit to Budapest would be complete without a cruise on the Danube for a beautiful panoramic view of Buda and Pest or a dip in one of Budapest's famous Baths. We recommend a visit to Hungary's Parliament Building to see the amazing architecture and the Hungarian Crown Jewels or visit the world famous Hungarian Opera House.
