Costa Rica

Some have said that they have the best waves in the Caribbean. They must have good waves to rank so high in the world’s leading surfing destinations. The most popular hotspot is Puerto Viejo, located in the emerging tourist destination of Limon on the southern coast.

Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is the island with the most coastline. You have the opportunity to surf both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. In the spring and summer, most surfers head to the southern part of the island but in the fall and winter.. Popular hotspots include Puerto Plata and Cabarete.

Jamaica

Jamaica is a great place for the beginner. There are many surf camps up and down the coast. The popular hotspots include the Kingston area, the lighthouse, Makka and Boston Bay.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico has many reefs, points and beaches for surfing, making it a great place for family travel. Its proximity to the United States is a real plus since no Passports for entry are required. The surfing hotspots include Rincon and Aguadilla.
