Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It has won numerous awards for being the "Best Island Resort" by the International Travel Magazine and many of the luxurious hotels have constantly been listed as some of the best in the world.

The rapid growth rate of tourism has had a big impact and influence on Bali tradition and lifestyle. The Balinese culture is still steeped in tradition. Life in Bali is always related to Tri Hita, Karana concept that include the spiritual relationship between humans, God and their environment. So strong is the belief that Balinese celebrate "nyepi", a day of meditation for the entire island, when all lights, fires, sounds, including planes and cars, are barred for 24 hours!

Living in communal villages is still an important part of the culture of Bali. Community decisions are made by "Banjar" and individuals must belong to their local "Subak."

There are many temples and places of worship that are important to the Balinese people and are built to celebrate many different reasons and purposes. A number of temples are best known for being the residences of monkey populations, such as Sangeh. Many attractions are considered sacred and important to the Hindu faith.

Tourists may also want to enjoy the many unforgettable waterfalls and colorful little markets on Bali. Jimbaran Beach and its wonderful seafood is a great place to visit while witnessing aircraft taking off and landing. This is a great spot for honeymooners.
