Barcelona boasts much more than just its legendary fútbol team. It is an unforgettable city of art, culture and beauty. It has gained the reputation of being the most cosmopolitan, modern and avant-garde city in Spain. Its history is one of the oldest in Europe and draws from it extensively.

Ideally situated between the sea and the mountains it has become one of the strongest tourist destinations worldwide. The variety of artistic treasures, the Romanesque churches and the great names in modern art and architecture such as Dali, Gaudi, Miro and Picasso are deeply imbedded in this culture. Do not miss Barcelona's Museums and Monuments: Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unachieved cathedral; La Pedrera, an impressive Gaudi building at the Passeig de Gracia; Santa Maria del Mar, XIV century Gothic Church with famous stained glass windows; MACABA, Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona; Picasso Museum, La Ribera, El Born.

In the city, you can walk along the Ramblas to enjoy street musicians, living statues, hustlers and just plain loonies. Then hop onto the Tramvia Blau for a tram trip up to the top of Tibidabo and take in the magnificent sights of the city below you. Shop along the Passeig de Gracia, at the most well known boutiques in Barcelona. Complete your day by having a sunset drink at a chiringuito bar on the Barceloneta beach, then after dark, join the locals for pub crawling at the Barri Gotic for a huge selection of tapas bars, wine bars, cocktail lounges and even Irish pubs!

A visit to Costa Brava, on the "wild coast", witness a combination of nature, climate and history in picturesque ports and villages that you are sure to enjoy or enjoy Costa Dorada on the "gold coast" in the south of Barcelona.
