The Upper West Side has undergone considerable change in recent years, with the influx of chain stores and the advent of the Time-Warner Center, the Shops at Columbus Circle. The mall has some fabulous restaurants hidden away in its upper reaches.

The neighborhood is diverse and family-friendly. Some call it the stroller capital of Manhattan. The neighborhood is exceptionally culturally rich. You can watch Shakespeare in the Park or hang out at the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon.
